OFFICIAL RULES
General:
All teams must register prior to their first game at Virginia High school. A registration table will be set up at the main entrance.
We will have waiver and roster forms to be filled out along with entry fee to register.
Only two (2) coaches allowed per team.
Each team will get three (3) games minimum.
Please DO NOT ask schedules to be changed after complete, it takes time to complete this and it isn’t something easy to do.
Clock:
7th & 8th grades will play Two (2) Fourteen (14) minute halves.
6th grades and BELOW will play Two (2) Twelve () minute Halves
Clock will stop on all dead balls and timeouts.
If a team is up by 15 or more there will be a continuous clock.
RULES:
Official Referees will be used for all games.
National Federation high school rules will be used with the following exceptions:
2 technical fouls in one game by a player or coach equals a 1 game suspension in the tournament immediately following the ejection by the game official.
BASKETS:
Rim height is 10 feet for all divisions.
TIMEOUTS:
Each team receives (3) Three (30) Thirty second timeouts per game.
PREGAME:
3 minutes or until the scheduled game time.
HALFTIME:
3 minutes
OVERTIME:
The first overtime will be for a period of 1 minute.
The clock will stop on all dead ball situations.
One additional timeout will be awarded in this overtime period.
A jump ball will start the overtime period.
If a second or more overtime(s) are required they will be for a period of 1 minute with 1 additional time out.
UNIFORMS:
Teams must wear a uniform with legal basketball numbers on at least one side.
We recommend having numbers on both the front and back of the jerseys.
Reversible jerseys are recommended in case both opponents are wearing the same color uniforms.
If this does occur, the visiting team) must change jerseys.
SCOREKEEPERS:
We will provide official scorekeeper for all games.
Please make sure you turn in a number roster to the scorer prior to the game with players numbers and team names.
I also suggest that both teams also provide someone to the scores table also.
BASKETBALLS:
28.5 for all Girls Divisions.
28.5 for Boys Divisions.
Regulation ball for all Boy’s Divisions 7th grade and above.
SPORTSMANSHIP:
All coaches and managers are responsible for their team and parents/fans.

NO PROTESTS ALLOWED... REFEREE'S DECISION IS FINAL!
GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME...PLEASE ALLOW FOR GAMES TO FINISH EARLY!
